Established in 2001 under the auspices of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), Hong Kong Community College (HKCC), along with the School of Professional Education and Executive Development (SPEED), is a self-financed post-secondary institution under the College of Professional and Continuing Education (CPCE).

The School of Professional Education and Executive Development (SPEED) was established by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) in 1999. PolyU SPEED, along with Hong Kong Community College (HKCC), is a unit under the College of Professional and Continuing Education (CPCE).

With a strong commitment to informing and nurturing excellent teachers, curriculum developers and programme leaders at the higher education level in Hong Kong, the CPCE Centre for Pedagogic Research (CPCECPR), established in March 2021, aspires to enhance the scholarship of teaching and learning and pedagogic research in the higher education sector.
